It’s Only Rock & Roll! was the first series I created (with John Brunton) and got my first producer credit. As showrunner, I got to create a unique blend of music and music-themed comedy. It won a Gemini Award as Best Variety Series. The show saw the TV debuts of Mike Myers as “Wayne Campbell” and “Dieter”, and musical talent such as Jeff Healey, Blue Rodeo, and more. Even the legendary 80’s band The Cult called us and asked to appear. They were awesome and trashed the studio. I’ll put more clips up in the next while. Meanwhile, here are two examples.
